The Green Schoolyard Project-Gadarif 2022
The work on the Green Schoolyard Project started in Gadarif city on Saturday October 8 at Elmo’tamar primary school for girls. The work included a daily cleanup campaign for a half hour before the morning assembly, lectures presented by Mr.Ibrahim Ali Abbakar; secretary general of SECS-Gadarif branch on the project and its components, importance of the environment, agriculture and plant care. The work also included assigning a fixed period at the morning assembly for environmental awareness.
Furthermore, the branch members have maintained the water cooler, planted 100 trees at the school, and distributed 400 plant trees for the schoolgirls.
Currently the work on the environmental library is taking place, and the books will be brought on the upcoming days.
