Community Climate Resilience Enhancement Project – North Darfur
Implemented by the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society (SECS) in partnership with COOPI and funded by the European Union, the project aimed to strengthen the adaptive capacity of communities to climate change. The intervention included natural resource management, the introduction of renewable energy solutions, and livelihood improvement initiatives across four localities in North Darfur. The project reached more than 108,000 beneficiaries and contributed to reducing dependence on firewood, improving water and food security, and empowering women through income-generating activities and community savings groups.
