SECS- UNEP Partnership Expands with New Poverty Indicators Survey in Gedaref State
Under the EU-funded project Enhancing Food Security and Resilience around Dinder National Park,implemented by UNEP Sudan and SSEC, Ms. Mona Zein (Acting Head of UNEP Sudan) visited the SSEC branch in Gedaref State on May 17, 2026, to review joint environmental and conservation efforts.
Following this visit, the SSEC team officially launched a poverty indicators survey on May 20, 2026, targeting designated villages in the Rahad River area. This initiative aims to support local rural communities and enhance their food security.
