The First Environmental School Festival

Hygiene Promotion and Environmental Recovery for Development and Poverty Reduction Project” is funded by European Union (Khartoum office), is currently under implementation by Bahry Locality and the Sudanese Environment Conservation Society.  The project started by conducting community mobilization activities that included awareness campaigns and public lectures on different environmental issues. On Monday 7 October 2019 the First Environmental School Festival was held in Gala Elslate Primary School –Khartoum North locality.

School students participated in the festival. The festival included a number of activities such as environmental songs, theatrical performances, and environmental awareness messages. One of the festival activities is the implementation of the student’s tree initiative.
